Scope of Accreditation & CMC
- ✓ OIML class F1 and below — Range: 1 mg to 10 kg
Determines conventional mass of weights using substitution weighing method (ABBA weighing cycle) in accordance with OIML R111-2004. - ✓ Free nominal value weights — Range: 1 mg to 10 kg
Determines the true mass of the weights. - ✓ Accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) based on ISO/IEC 17025:2005 — currently preparing for reassessment in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Future Plans
- → Upgrade scope of accreditation from 10 kg to 20 kg F1 class weights (three 20 kg E2 class standard weights with recent certificates already available)
- → Upgrade from F1 to E2 class weights — E1 class standard weight (range 1 mg to 5 kg) already acquired
- → Fulfil facilities, accommodation and training requirements for E2 class weight accreditation
- → Participate in sub-regional interlaboratory comparisons and register new as well as best CMC values
