National Metrology Institute of Ethiopia established by the council of Ministers Regulation No 194/2011 to give metrology related services which were previously given by Quality and Standards Authority of Ethiopia, Ethiopian Scientific Equipment center and Ethiopian Radiation Protection Authority. The institute is non-profit governmental organization which is accountable to the ministry of Trade and Industry.
